On December 4, 2025, it was a joyful occasion when city superintendent Rainer Müller-Brandes pointed out the community's commitment at the Christmas market. With a heartfelt thank you, he handed over donations that came from the Great Hanover Stadium Singing 2024. The generous funds amount to over 10,000 euros and will fully benefit the ecumenical food distribution and the HAZ Christmas aid. This more than doubled the previous donation amount. This shows how strongly the people in Hanover and the surrounding area stick together and help in difficult times.
Among the happy recipients of the donations was Diakonie pastor Friedhelm Feldkamp, who emphasized how important the food distribution is as a place of meeting and support for those in need in the region. Provost Wolfgang Semmet and Simon Benne, who spoke for the HAZ Christmas aid, were also able to receive donations of 5,230 euros each. Benne recalled that since 1975, the HAZ Christmas Aid has been the region's largest fundraising initiative focused on supporting people in need.
A big event for the city
The anticipation for the next Great Hanover Stadium Singing is already palpable: on December 17, 2025, visitors can look forward to singing Christmas carols together in the Heinz von Heiden Arena from 6 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and the preliminary program begins at 5:15 p.m. Over 20,000 visitors were counted at the last stadium sing-along, and the city is hoping for lively participation this time too.

The special event is not only associated with musical enjoyment, but also with a good cause: the surpluses from the event flow directly back to the HAZ Christmas aid and the ecumenical food distribution, which underlines the importance of this event for the community.
As expected after previous events, this time too a warm and communal evening is expected in the Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena. Bringing people together and giving support to each other is the true spirit of this festive season.
