Marienburg Castle in Pattensen, a real insider tip for fans of the “Maxton Hall” series, is just getting going with new digital offerings. For fans of historical heritage, an exciting and educational digital tour is now available, allowing you to explore the castle from home or during a walk outdoors. Virtual experiences during the renovation work

The castle is currently completely closed to visitors due to extensive renovation work - a situation that is expected to last until 2030. The tour, which takes approximately 60 minutes, is designed to be used without a mobile data connection. Future history highlights that the digital tour is an extension of the existing app and that the content is also available in English and French.

A special highlight of the tour is the story about the blind King George V, who could only feel the castle through a cork model. These and many other stories offer users fascinating insights into the history of the Guelphs and the castle itself.
