Jette from Lower Saxony has lived in a care facility in Osnabrück for more than 3,000 days due to a severe autoimmune disease that prevented her from traveling for a long time. But now her heartfelt wish to visit the coast is finally coming true thanks to the ASB Wish Car Lower Saxony. The journey takes the two best friends Jette and Michaela, who have supported each other for 35 years, to the beautiful Wadden Sea - a destination they have dreamed of for a long time. The first stop on this special trip takes the two women to the Harlesiel ferry port, where Jette can relax with a cappuccino. The anticipation is great for both of them and Jette's smile speaks volumes. In the “Wattkieker” restaurant you can expect a culinary treat in the form of fresh plaice, which rounds off the day perfectly. Jette reports how alive she feels by the sea. For her, this visit represents a quiet farewell to a place that seemed unreachable for a long time.

Among other things, the donations go to projects such as the Wish Car and the Heart's Wish Ambulance from the Malteser Relief Organization. This support was recognized in 2019 with a sum of 2,500 euros per initiative.
