Annual exhibition Hope”: Artists show their visions in Lüneburg!

The anticipation is increasing because the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK) is inviting people to the 2025 annual exhibition. On November 22, 2025, the motto “Hope” will be ceremoniously opened in the Heinrich House. The artists who demonstrate their skills are true masters of their craft and include well-known names such as Martin Bäuml, Werner Gergaut and Michael Heinrich, who have been very popular in the scene for a long time. Gabriele Nafisa Klipstein, Walter Knolle, Eike Kuhse, Anette Kügler, Stephanie Hüllmann, Karl-Ernst Gaertner and Karl-Willi Haase also show their creative approaches in this inspiring exhibition.

This creative gathering will be open to the public from November 23rd to December 7th, 2025. The doors are open on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and entry is free. The vernissage on the opening day, which begins at 5 p.m., is particularly exciting. Not only is art presented here, but we also get to talk to each other, because everyone is interested in thinking about and discussing the topic of hope.

Hope in unstable times

The theme of hope runs like a common thread through the works of the participating artists. They invite visitors to reflect on how we deal with hope and to formulate their own thoughts on the challenges we face in these unstable times. As a Japanese saying goes, “Fall seven times, get up eight.” This idea comes to life in the artworks, which reflect an attempt to take a positive stance in a fragile reality.

This annual exhibition is more than just a presentation; it sees itself as a workshop of doubt. The artists not only address the cracks in ecosystems and societies, but also personal life paths and the challenges associated with them. Her works challenge viewers to grapple with the decision “not to stay put.” This is particularly valuable in times when hope appears to be a crucial commodity.

Art in the kiosk

From November 27, 2025, there will also be a special addition to the exhibition: Under the motto “French fries, red and white – art in small bowls,” guests can not only enjoy a small snack in the kiosk at the Salt Museum, but also purchase works of art for a flat price of 30 euros. The kiosk is open from November 27th to December 10th, 2025 and offers the opportunity to experience art up close on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The BBK Lüneburg, the regional organization for artists in the Lüneburg catchment area, is currently preparing for an exciting year 2026 in which it will celebrate its 80th anniversary. This not only shows the association's deep-rooted tradition, but also the tireless commitment to keeping art and culture alive in the region - and that's exactly what this exhibition stands for.
