District council meeting: Energy-related renovation and financing issues in focus!
An important meeting of the district council in Dahlenburg is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The meeting will take place in the Dahlenburg Community and Culture Center, Dornweg 4, 21368 Dahlenburg and is open to the public for anyone interested. Not only will the supplementary budget for 2025 be discussed, but a grant of 500,000 euros for the energy-efficient renovation of the MTV hall will also be discussed. This reports Lüne blog.
According to the agenda, the meeting begins with a residents' question time, in which citizens have the opportunity to raise their concerns. The opening and the determination of the regularity of the summons and quorum will then be carried out, followed by a minute's silence. The approval of the minutes of the previous meeting on September 18, 2025 is also on the agenda.
Important topics in focus
The supplementary budget rate and plan for 2025 will be discussed later in the meeting. The SPD parliamentary group's application for financial support for the energy-efficient renovation of the MTV sports facility is a central component here. In addition, amendments are expected from the FDP/The Independents. The district's financial situation will be closely examined, in particular the determination of the district levy rate for 2026.
But that's not all: the division of the district into electoral areas for the 2026 district election and MOIN GmbH - which both wants to increase equity capital and is seeking group loans - are other topics that will be a topic of discussion. The acquisition of company shares by e.novum Lüneburg GmbH is also being discussed. Applications to support cooperation classes at schools, to expand inpatient assistance for the homeless and to implement the integration advisory board round off the agenda.
Live broadcast and citizen participation
For everyone who cannot be there in person, the meeting will be broadcast live via Lüne-Stream. The special thing about it: The recording will also be available later. This means that no one is left in the dark about the important decisions that are made in the district council.
The district council election last took place on September 12, 2021. Since then, it has set the principles for the administration of the district and decides on essential matters. The district administrator manages day-to-day business and implements the decisions made. With this importance behind us and a variety of topics under our belt, it will be exciting to see how the session will go.
