On November 5, 2025, the mobility committee of the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg will meet in the Ritterakademie, Am Graalwall 12, at 4:00 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and please note that seating is limited. After the welcome and the determination of the quorum, the minutes of the last meeting on September 17, 2025 will first be approved. Citizens can then raise their concerns directly during the residents’ questions.

Another item on the agenda is the status report on the reactivation of the Lüneburg-Soltau railway line, which could be important for potential commuters. There will also be a lecture on the district's funding application for the further development of the mobility center, a measure that is intended to promote mobility for everyone. The mobility committee is made up of representatives from the various council factions as well as advisory members from institutions such as the IHK, the district craftsmen's association, the city management and others. The police and transport companies are also represented to ensure that all perspectives are taken into account. The management lies with First City Councilor Markus Moßmann from the Department for Sustainability, Security and Law.
