Online event: Everything about short-time work – register now and find out more!

On December 3, 2025, the employers' association Lüneburg-Nordostniedersachsen e.V. invites everyone interested to an online event with the topic “Short-time work – what employers need to know now”. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in cooperation with the Lüneburg-Uelzen Employment Agency. Here you will find important information about short-time work, the legal framework and the practical processes that employers should not miss. The aim is to make the participants fit for the challenges we are currently experiencing.

Multi-faceted topics are planned, such as the introduction of short-time work, the conditions that must be met for this, and coordination with the employment agency. Typical stumbling blocks are also discussed so that no one stumbles in an emergency. Anne Rypalla, lawyer, will explain the legal basis, while experts from the employment agency will guide you through the process in a practical manner. Participation in this informative round is free of charge and is also open to non-members. However, if you want to take part, you have to register online to receive access data.

Further training during short-time work

An interesting addition to short-time work is the possibility of further training. Employers can apply for financial support for the further training of their employees during short-time work. This is particularly valuable because further training that has already begun before short-time work begins does not have to be interrupted. Under certain conditions, there are even subsidies for wages as long as no short-time working allowance is paid for the loss of work

If a company is not affected by short-time work, advice and subsidies for further training can also be applied for. The employer service offers personal support and appropriate information on the requirements and the amount of possible subsidies. Contacting us is uncomplicated - calls are routed directly to the relevant employer service on site, so you can quickly get the clarity you need.

Flexibility in education

Another important piece of information that is included in the current discussion about employment and further training is the range of distance learning programs on offer. These programs, which are offered in Valencia among others, are perfect for those who want to balance family and work. They enable flexible, high-quality training that is tailored precisely to your personal circumstances.

Anyone interested in a career in administration, environmental protection or even gastronomy has many opportunities for training or further education here. Degree programs in the areas of administration, renewable energies and marketing offer first-class opportunities to redesign or refresh your own career path.

For anyone who would like to take a closer look at these topics, the event on December 3rd offers an excellent opportunity to clarify all questions and collect valuable information. So it will be worth not missing the registration!
