From September 13th to 30th, 2025, visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the colorful world of cultural diversity and enjoy exciting events. The festival was festive with a performance byWomen's quartet Telli Turnalaropened, which created a rousing atmosphere with Anatolian folk music and intercultural sound experiments NOZ reported.
Visitors are invited not only to be showered, but also to actively participate. They were asked what impressions and preferences they took away from their first performances. It's a feast for all the senses - seeing, hearing, tasting and smelling are on the program.
Experience diversity
The Festival of Cultures in Osnabrück is more than just a series of events. The opening weekend not only brought the women's quartet on stage. On Saturday there were additional performances by the folk bandDikanda, which brought Eastern European sounds with it, and theEnsemble Divanhana, which combines Sevdalinka songs with jazz and pop elements. On Sunday there was a traditional festival with over 60 clubs from around 25 nations, where culinary specialties and an all-day stage program with 24 dance and music performances were presented.
A colorful program
In the coming weeks, visitors can expect a variety of events, ranging from exhibitions to film evenings. Highlights include the exhibition “The Third World in the Second World War” at the Osnabrück Adult Education Center, the film evening “Song of Haenyeo” at the Cinema Arthouse and the concert “From Anatolia to Andalusia”. Visitors can also look forward to a jazzy experience with the trioJMO, which combines West African rhythms with European jazz traditions, as well as an evening with theGrupo Geraçõesare happy to interpret Fado.
