New building highlight 2026: KfW-40 apartment buildings for families and couples!

From 2026, an exciting construction project will be launched in northern Germany that will appeal to both singles and families. Two modern KfW-40 QNG apartment buildings are being built, which offer a total of an impressive living space of 1,863 m². With a total of 20 residential units measuring between 58 and 139 m², there will be something to suit every taste. The special thing about these new buildings: They meet the highest efficiency standards and are therefore good for the environment and your wallet.

The layout of the apartments shows an attractive variety. In the first building, the AEG, the apartment sizes look like this:

  • Wohnung 1: 87,31 m²
  • Wohnung 2: 78,78 m²
  • Wohnung 3: 87,31 m²

On the 1st floor there are also apartments 8, 9 and 10 with sizes of 84.75 m², 76.23 m² and 84.75 m². In the second building, the BEG, things continue as follows:

  • Wohnung 4: 139,18 m²
  • Wohnung 5: 60,74 m²
  • Wohnung 6: 60,86 m²

Modern equipment for future-oriented living

Equipped with a KfW-40 efficiency house standard, future residents will benefit from low heating and electricity costs, which result from reduced energy consumption. Interested builders should consult an energy efficiency expert during the planning phase in order to apply for KfW subsidies. The KfW provides low-interest loans of up to 150,000 euros for climate-friendly new buildings. This can partially cover additional construction costs, which range between 260 and 300 euros per square meter. A renovation to Efficiency House 40 is also funded, including a repayment subsidy - a real selling point!
