On Saturday evening there was a celebration in Peine when Brian Rhodes, the king of MTV Father Jahn, hosted his royal ball. The shooting hall of the shooting guild was filled with around 320 guests who celebrated together until the early hours of the morning. Accompanied by his marching band, Rhodes solemnly entered the hall, while in his mind the proclamation in July came to life when Mayor Klaus Saemann presented him as a passionate fan of VfL Wolfsburg and FC Barcelona. From July 3rd to 7th, 2026, the Peiner Free Shooting event will take place, a festival that delights the city every year. The opening begins on Friday at 3 p.m. with a serenade by the youth marching bands. In the evening the festival is rounded off with an impressive fireworks display.
On Saturday, the focus is on serenades for the kings and dignitaries, before the Kommerse takes place in the corporate tents in the evening. A highlight is the big parade on Monday, during which the kings of 2025 will be entered into the Golden Book, followed by the proclamation of the new kings by the mayor.
The last day of the festival, Tuesday, ends with traditional parades and a royal entry to the historic market square. Mayor Klaus Saemann will also be present here for the official end of the Pein Free Shooting. Preparations are already in full swing and many expect the city to be a colorful, happy place.
