P. Diddy: 50 months in prison for sexual violence – release planned for 2028!
The once-celebrated hip-hop star P. Diddy, real name Sean Combs, has experienced a dramatic turnaround in his life. On October 3, 2025, he was sentenced in Manhattan court to more than four years in prison. Judge Arun Subramanian found that the acts with which P. Diddy was accused caused irreparable harm to two women. He faced a sentence of up to 20 years, although at 50 months (around four years and two months) it was significantly lower than the public prosecutor's office had demanded at least 11 years. According to BFMTV, P. Diddy could be released in May 2028 if he behaves well in prison and can claim reduced sentences. This would mean that the rapper would be free again after more than a year in prison in a New York facility.
The allegations against P. Diddy are serious: he was convicted, among other things, of sexual violence and transporting people to prostitution. During the trial, which began in the summer, he was also accused of more drastic charges such as human trafficking and criminal organization, but these were rejected by the jury. In an apology, P. Diddy said his behavior was “disgusting, shameful and sick.” Despite these words, prosecutors have criticized the lack of remorse and stressed that the acts caused great harm, as Le Monde reported.
The dark side of “Freak Offs”
In addition to his criminal challenges, P. Diddy also faces civil lawsuits, which were made public on October 22, 2025. A total of seven anonymously filed lawsuits allege sexual abuse and tactile assault that occurred between 2000 and 2022. The alleged acts were committed in various locations, including New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Two of the victims were minors at the time of the attacks, which poses additional legal problems for the rapper. These advertisements are in connection with the so-called “Freak Offs”, elaborately staged sexual performances in which P. Diddy allegedly exploited his position of power to manipulate and insult women, as [WDR](https://www1.wdr.de/nachrichten/p-diddy-anklagen-sexual criminals-parties-faq-100.html) describes.
These events reportedly included not only drugs and coercion, but also extreme physical assault. In some cases, the victims are said to have been severely abused, which further reinforces the seriousness of the allegations. At the end of the “freak offs,” those affected often received medical treatment to recover from the injuries they sustained. The allegations cast a dark light not only on P. Diddy's personal life, but also on the network of people who were close to him in recent years, including high-ranking employees who were involved in organizing these events.
The reactions and the way forward
In public, many celebrities expressed criticism of P. Diddy's behavior. While there are many voices standing up for the victims, skeptical comments can be heard about the rapper's remorse and his possible appeal. His team has already announced that it will take action against the legal decisions and reject the conviction as unconstitutional. What is clear, however, is that P. Diddy faces a rocky road, both in prison and in the civil disputes that lie ahead.
The wave of allegations not only shook the career of the former hip-hop king, but also reignited the discussion about abuse of power in the entertainment industry. Given the many voices calling for justice for the women affected, the question remains what the future holds for P. Diddy. Attention will be focused on every move he makes until his possible release in May 2028.
