October has a lot to offer in Lower Saxony! From October 3rd to 5th, 2025, the spa park in Thale will be the setting for a spectacular knights' festival that will captivate young and old alike. The program not only includes knight tournaments and historical music, but also lots of entertainment from jugglers and acrobats. The knights' festival starts daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and offers a real fireworks display of attractions. Included are, among other things, historical music from “Ohrenpeyn” and breathtaking shows from “Opus Furore”. The “Midgards Feuerbund” will delight spectators with skillful knight fights, while the little guests have fun on the hand-operated carousel or crossbow shooting in the Trollewald. If you like, you can also take a look at the medieval market, which offers crafts and delicious food.

The ticket prices are fair: children up to 5 years old, as well as knights in full armor, have free entry. Young people only pay 6 euros online, while adults can join for 12 euros. But the knights' festival is not the only highlight in Lower Saxony this weekend. On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, the German Cup wheelchair table tennis tournament will take place in Hanover. The games start at 10 a.m. in the sports hall on Maschstrasse. Here the TKH team has the chance to prove itself in the 2nd Bundesliga. The gymnastics club in Hanover, led by three-time German champion Kyra Liepach, is looking forward to numerous spectators because entry is free!
For those who prefer a more comfortable experience, we recommend the “Long Sauna Night” at the ITH Soletherme in Salzhemmendorf. On October 3rd, sauna fans can relax with creative infusions and Bavarian specialties from 6 p.m. Entry costs 29 euros and promises a relaxing evening.
Last but not least, on October 5th there will be a small market in Hellendorf with more than 35 exhibitors. Here you can buy beautiful autumn decorations and homemade unique items. Another highlight is the barbecue stand and a cafeteria that ensure the physical well-being of visitors. The event lasts from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
