Ahornstraße, Salzgitter, Deutschland - The anticipation is large in Steterburg: On June 14th, the eagerly awaited bobby car and soap box race will take place. The event location is Ahornstrasse, where everything is already being prepared for the small celebrations. With the main sponsor, the WEVG Salzgitter, in the back, unforgettable moments are guaranteed. Christian Striese invited the drivers to test on Friday and prepare for the competition. Everyone is welcome!
The paddock opens at 12 noon for all vehicles that have to go through safety checks. From 1.30 p.m., the BobbyCar races will start on a 50-meter route, where the youngest participants get their money's worth. Not only the challenge is waiting for the little ones, but also a medal as a souvenir. The fastest driver can also expect a trophy, which should increase the excitement.
an exciting day for everyone
From 2.30 p.m., the route for the soap box race will be released. Here, skill and speed come into play, because the participants start temporarily in individual starts. Depending on the number of participants, two evaluation groups can be formed. Here, too, there is a medal for each participant, and the three fastest drivers of each group can look forward to a trophy. The award ceremony is planned after 6 p.m., so that the tension is preserved until the end.
Around the event is also taken care of: Delicious dishes and refreshing drinks are waiting for visitors in the paddock at the district meeting. You can relax and cheer on the athletes with their performance.
A look at the other events
The Soifa Bobby Club is also planning a big event for July 12 and 13 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. In addition to competition runs on Saturday, evening live music and even a night race including a time rating are offered for the same chances. Sunday will be a special highlight with the “run of legends”. Here the members look at the beginnings of the association and present historical soap boxes.
