Uelzen is celebrating: three days full of fun, music and a Ferris wheel!

Uelzen is preparing for a fantastic city festival! From August 1st to 3rd, 2025, the city will celebrate a colorful festival of joy and entertainment that has something to offer for all generations. As the Uelzen press reports, the festival will be ceremoniously opened on Friday, August 1st at 6 p.m. at the Old Town Hall. The anticipation is palpable, as Uelzen is transformed into a true festival valley with music, fun and lots of good spirits.

A colorful mix of program items awaits visitors, who can look forward to live performances by regional clubs, dance groups and music bands on three stages. While the adults enjoy the varied music, the children don't miss out either: attractions such as a Ferris wheel, the break dancer and the music express make their eyes shine. Traffic restrictions and parking options

But before the fun starts, the people of Uelzen have to adapt to some traffic restrictions. From Wednesday, July 30th, at 6:30 p.m., Kleine Mühlenstrasse, Schuhstrasse and the parking lot on Fritz-Röver-Strasse will be closed. From Thursday, July 31st, at 6:30 p.m., further road closures will be added, including Lüneburger Strasse, Doktorenstrasse and Veerßer Strasse up to Turmstrasse. At least the CEKA parking garage remains accessible via Schmiedestrasse. Residents are asked to use alternative parking options, as the bus stop on Gudesstrasse will not be accessible during the holidays.

In addition, the weekly market on Lüneburger Straße near the Holy Spirit Chapel is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd. Heiligen-Geist-Straße, Schnellenmarkt and Schmiedestrasse are still accessible, so visitors can easily get to the event.

A celebration for the whole family

The city festival is a highlight in the city's event calendar and delights young and old alike. Especially at the DJ Place on Gudesstrasse at the corner of Schuhstrasse, music from the 80s and 90s will be played from Friday and Saturday, starting at 8 p.m. On Sunday afternoon, visitors can expect a hit event, presented by Chairdance with Lilly Feske. For everyone who would like to get active themselves, there is a chair dancing workshop on August 3rd at 4:30 p.m. - a great opportunity to shake a leg!
