Drama in the district: Seriously injured cyclists and fires cause excitement!

This Sunday, June 22, 2025, there are some moving events in northern Germany. The fire brigade was challenged and the police also have their hands full.

The situation in which a 40-year-old man from Visbek caused an accident with 2.34 per thousand is particularly explosive. He had to give up his driver's license and was asked to take blood. This attracts further attention to a recurring problem: the alcohol -related traffic accidents, which, according to statistics from the Federal Statistical Office, performed over 600,000 times in Germany in recent decades, whereby more than 26,000 such accidents were registered in 2022 alone.
