Gwildis inspires in the pumping station: An anniversary concert in a class of its own!

A musical celebration in Wilhelmshaven: The popular musician Stefan Gwildis caused the pumping station in Wilhelmshaven to shake as part of his anniversary tour celebrating his 50-year career. Carried by the sounds of his well-rehearsed duo with pianist Tobi Neumann, the approximately 200 spectators experienced an unforgettable concert. NWZonline reports that the interaction between Gwildis and the audience worked wonderfully and the concert included two hours full of music and emotions.

Gwildis has already appeared on stage in Wilhelmshaven with various line-ups, including with a big band and in a trio. The evening started quickly and the second song was Gwildis’ own German version of Marvin Gaye’s hit “How sweet it is to be loved by you”. The enormous connection that Gwildis built with his audience made the evening particularly harmonious.

Perfect performance despite small hurdles

There were technical difficulties during the concert, but Gwildis overcame them with his typical charm. In addition to his singing skills, he also impressed with his talented beatboxing, which created many moments of surprise. Tobi Neumann, who performed solo after the break, enchanted the audience with a very emotional performance of Lucio Dalla's “Caruso”. Hearing the voices coming together in the pumping station was an experience for the senses.

The audience felt the excitement after every song, regardless of tempo or style. The atmosphere in the pumping station was more than just harmonious; it was a celebration of music. The highlights of the evening included the rousing encores, including “Papa doesn’t want to live here anymore” and “When everything has been said, it will be quiet”. As you can hear, this evening will remain unforgettable for many in Wilhelmshaven.
