As of today, July 1, 2025, there is significant news from the world of football: Belgian international and central defender Sebastiaan Bornauw is about to move from Wolfsburg to Leeds United. How OneFootball reports, Bornauw has already successfully completed the medical check in Thorp Arch. The official announcement of the transfer is seen as a formality as the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee of six million euros.
Bornauw, who has been playing for VfL Wolfsburg since 2021, brings great experience to Leeds. In the last three years he played a total of 76 competitive games in which he scored two goals. His defensive strengths could also respond to the impending departure of Max Wöber, who is considering a permanent departure due to serious injuries.
