On Tuesday evening, October 28, 2025, there was a fire in a parking garage in Wolfsburg, more precisely on Heinrich-Heine-Straße, which quickly attracted the attention of the fire department. An Audi parked on the first parking level was completely engulfed by fire. Fortunately, the incident caused no property damage and no one was injured. This reports NDR.
The incident was noticed around 8:15 p.m. by an alert witness who saw smoke rising from the parking garage and immediately alerted the fire department. The Wolfsburg professional fire brigade was quickly on site and took over the extinguishing work, which became necessary due to the heavy smoke development during the operation. To ensure the safety of everyone present, the gym above was evacuated while the fire was extinguished. The fire started on the first parking deck and completely destroyed the car, while the parking garage itself also suffered damage from the heat, the extent of which is currently unknown. Following the incident, the scene was seized by police to launch a full investigation into the cause of the fire.
