Transfer hammer: Cerny leaves Wolfsburg, new stars for Bremen and HSV!
A lot happened in German football on September 2nd, 2025. Deadline Day brought some exciting changes that should shake up the Bundesliga. As NDR reports, a central change is taking place: Vaclav Cerny is leaving VfL Wolfsburg and moving to Besiktas Istanbul for around 6 million euros. The Czech played 28 competitive games for Wolfsburg last season and also spent time on loan at Glasgow Rangers.
Werder Bremen also caused a stir. The club signed Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen on loan. The talented striker scored 22 goals and added 11 more in 42 appearances in the first division. So it could be a guarantee of success!
More exciting transfers
Hamburger SV has another new signing: Fabio Vieira comes from Arsenal and is scheduled to go on loan for the coming season. Vieira previously worked at FC Porto. HSV has also parted ways with Otto Stange, who is now on loan to SV Elversberg.
Another transfer from the North German region concerns Eintracht Braunschweig: Florian Flick is moving from 1. FC Nürnberg on loan until the end of the season. Hannover 96 also struck in the transfer phase and secured William Kokolo, a left-back from Stade Laval.
VfL Wolfsburg continues to go on the offensive. Adam Daghim comes from RB Salzburg, while Jenson Seelt from AFC Sunderland strengthens the defense. David Odogu will also leave Wolfsburg and move to AC Milan. The Lower Saxony team is clearly active on the transfer market.
Loan transactions and delays
However, Werder Bremen also has to contend with challenges. The move of Cameron Puertas, who is supposed to come from Saudi Arabian Al-Qadsiah FC, has been delayed due to contractual modalities. Eintracht Braunschweig also has to report departures: Marvin Rittmüller moves to 1860 Munich and Luca Böggemann is loaned out to Sportfreunde Lotte. Walid Ould-Chikh is also developing and moves from Eintracht Braunschweig on loan to Heracles Almelo, where there is an option to buy.
However, the transfer deadlines have not yet fully expired. Players without a contract can still be signed, and international transfers are still possible in many ways: for example, while the deadline for the Netherlands ended on September 1st, moves to Austria can still be made until September 5th. In Belgium and Poland the deadline is September 8th, while Switzerland and the Czech Republic have until September 9th. Saudi Arabia even allows until September 11th for transfers, while in Turkey and Greece the deadline is September 12th. So it stays exciting!
The transfer market in the Bundesliga not only brings a breath of fresh air, but also shows the clubs' ambitions for the coming season. The developments will be followed with excitement because only the best deals will really be decisive for the teams!
