VfL Wolfsburg: New coach Simonis and exciting documentary from Tuesday!

A new wind is blowing at VfL Wolfsburg. From Tuesday, July 1st, Paul Simonis will be introduced as the new head coach. The press conference begins at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast live on Wölfe TV. Simonis, who previously coached the Go Ahead Eagles in the Netherlands and won the cup with them, has signed a two-year contract. “We want to bring a breath of fresh air into the club,” said sports director Peter Christiansen. Simonis replaces Ralph Hasenhüttl and is already the sixth permanent coach since 2021, the year in which the Wolves qualified for the Champions League, reports VfL Wolfsburg.

In his previous role, Simonis already laid a fitting foundation: his team finished seventh in the league, its best placement in decades. The fans are now hoping that he will also ensure positive results in Wolfsburg. The season ended for Wolfsburg under interim coach Daniel Bauer in 11th place, which by no means met expectations. But the loyalty of the followers remains unbroken.

A special documentary and exciting prizes

On the same day, the ZDF documentary “Head Matter” with the players Janina Minge and Sarai Linder will be released, which can be seen in the ZDF media library from 10 a.m. This documentary deals with mental strength and team spirit in football and offers personal insights from the two players that will be inspiring for many fans. The television broadcast will take place on Saturday, July 5th at 11:10 p.m.

There is also good news for the loyal fans: the winners of the season awards from the “Shero of the Game” and “Player of the Game” awards have also been drawn. In this round, Jens Klüsener, Theodor Weiser, Bärbel Tiefenbach and Thomas Baptist can look forward to VIP packages. Signed jerseys will go to the two fans Marlon G. and Maike Windmüller, who will certainly be very happy about them.

A family trip to Rasti-Land

Last weekend the WölfiClub members had the opportunity to visit Rasti-Land. The little wolves experienced numerous attractions, accompanied by the popular mascot Wölfi. They were unforgettable moments that will certainly be remembered for a long time by many fans, both young and old.

An exciting season is just around the corner for the Wolves, and while the anticipation for Paul Simonis' coaching debut increases, it remains to be seen what impulses the new coach will provide. The club can start the new era with a strong team and the support of its loyal supporters.
