Wolfsburg Christmas market: glitter, atmosphere and lots of promotions!
In Wolfsburg, the anticipation of the Christmas market is becoming more and more tangible. Busy work is already underway in front of the festive doors of the city center and the first huts and stage constructions are in the starting blocks. The Christmas market, one of the city's largest gathering points, begins on November 24th and lasts until December 29th, 2025, with a short break on December 24th and 25th, as news38 reported.
The official opening will take place at 4 p.m. on Hugo-Bork-Platz by Mayor Dennis Weilmann. A DJ from Antenne Niedersachsen will provide a festive atmosphere from 3:30 p.m., while the opening party lasts until 8 p.m. The organizers of the Wolfsburger Marketing Gesellschaft (WMG) have put together a total of around 60 stands that offer a wide range of Christmas treats and handicrafts.
Opening times and program
Visitors can look forward to a varied program that runs from Monday to Sunday. The opening hours of the market are:
- Montag bis Donnerstag: 11:00–21:00 Uhr
- Freitag und Samstag: 11:00–22:00 Uhr
- Sonntag und Feiertag: 13:00–20:00 Uhr
- 29. Dezember: 11:00–20:00 Uhr
A special highlight are the after work hits on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the DJ duo Silberfunk. The stage program also has a lot to offer wmg supplemented. On Friday, November 28th, the DJ duo tonArt and the Irish folk rock band The Keltics will perform, before the Stadtwerke Orchestra entertains guests on Saturday, November 29th.
Family-friendly offers
For the youngest visitors, there are varied, free craft activities and storytimes in the NEULAND Santa Claus House. These are available on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Another highlight for children will take place on November 26th with the “Letter of Wishes to Santa Claus” campaign, while on November 29th there will be face painting and craft activities from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Christmas market not only promises delicious mulled wine and roasted almonds, but also a cozy atmosphere to linger and stroll through the decorated city center. The entire event is supported by the commitment of WMG and is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the Christmas spirit in Wolfsburg.
