Kiel's booty summer 2025: A festival of the senses on the water!

Kiel, Deutschland - The Kiel boaty summer stands at the corner and promises an exciting time for all cultural and connoisseur souls in the beautiful state capital. From 18. July to August 23, 2025 , the downtown Kiel will come up with a colorful program that has a mixture of music, art and culinary delights. This year the festival is already in the 19. Edition go and take place on Fridays and Saturdays, which makes a regular visit almost indispensable.

As soon as the festival has started, visitors can expect a participation day on the opening day. Here the conveyor wind orchestra will initiate the event musically and there is a wide range of activities for young and old. If you would like to dance, you can find Karaoke Boys at Fördalsa and 【Karaoke Boys. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. you can get creative when spraying and tinkering with "time -wades". Materials such as canvases, spray cans and handicrafts are provided - so everyone can reveal their artistic veins!

Another highlight will be the premiere of the summer opera "La Traviata", which will be broadcast live on a large screen at the boat harbor from 8 p.m. Concert visitors can look forward to an exciting performance, which is up to 27. July continues on the Rathausplatz.

Experience cultural diversity

The culinary offer during the festival will not be neglected either. From lush burgers to fresh fish rolls to vegan crepes, any palate can be spoiled here. And not only that: On the day of the neighborhood heroes, local traders present themselves at the boat harbor and show how diverse Kiel is.

Special attention is on social projects this year. The proceeds flow from an exciting duck race that begins at 1 p.m. There is also a deposit donation for a good cause, in which returns of cups and glasses are very welcome and benefit the project "Löppt Mitnannener".

The large number of activities and events make the boat hollow summer an unforgettable experience. The festival is supported, among other things, by the Nettekiel volunteer office, which promotes volunteering in Kiel, and the series of events is part of the "Kiel cultural summer", which is already looking back on 25 years this year.
