The top beaches on the Baltic Sea: Travemünde leads the ranking!
When the urge for the sea and fresh sea air calls, the beaches on the North and Baltic Seas are exactly the right address. A current ranking shows that Travemünde on the Baltic Sea coast takes first place among the most popular beaches in Germany. The Hamburg portal T-Online reveals how these rankings were determined: The booking portal Holidu compiled its list based on the respective mentions in social networks such as Instagram and TikTok.
Travemünde, a picturesque seaside resort in Schleswig-Holstein, scores not only with its more than 7 km of fine sandy beaches, but also with a variety of leisure activities and its excellent accessibility. Only 23 minutes from Lübeck main train station and a five-minute walk from the beach, it attracts many holidaymakers and day-trippers. Travemünde has collected more than 14,500 Instagram posts and an impressive 460,000 views on TikTok - that speaks for itself! In July, the seaside resort also grabs a decent spot in travelers' wallets with an average price of 193 euros per night.
