Under the torches that illuminate the monastery's inner courtyard, Brother Jakobus and the merchant's widow Anneke will tell stories from days long past. The event lasts around 90 minutes and is an exciting mix of historical narrative and entertaining anecdotes. Topics such as trade, faith and the everyday lives of people in earlier centuries are brought to life. Not only major historical events are examined, but also everyday life, which was once strikingly different from our lives today.
