Green and white mobility: VfB Lübeck brings club buses onto the streets!

In the heart of Lübeck, a very special bus has been rolling through the city streets since the beginning of the year. VfB Lübeck has integrated itself into the public cityscape with a green and white vehicle that not only serves as a means of transport, but also acts as a true ambassador for the club. The bus, which features the club's design, is part of a comprehensive commitment to strengthen the visibility of VfB Lübeck and show its connection to the city. The initiative was launched by the Schmelzer Group, which has supported the club as a back sponsor since the start of the season. As [VfB Lübeck](https://vfb-luebeck.de/ambassador-auf-sechs-raedern-luebecks-strassen- Werden-gruen-weiss/) reports, the project was developed in close collaboration with the VfB marketing team and other sponsors.

“We are very happy about the new bus,” says Sven Theißen, marketing manager at VfB Lübeck, and emphasizes the importance of this advertising measure for the club’s presence off the pitch. The vehicle's stickers were professionally implemented by transport advertising specialists Lloyd Schiffmann and Frank Peters, so that VfB Lübeck now shows its face not only on the pitch but also next to it.

A strong team for young people

But VfB Lübeck not only relies on visibility, but also attaches great importance to promoting its talents. This is underlined by the long-standing partnership with the Lübeck municipal utilities, which have secured their support for VfB's youth work and football school. Dr. Dieter Gudel, CEO of VfB Lübeck, was proud of this ongoing collaboration and thanked Dr. Jens Meier and his team from the municipal utilities for their commitment. Stadtwerke Lübeck is a strong partner for the association, as Stadtwerke Lübeck emphasizes.

“Promoting youth is very important to us because it is the key to the club’s future,” said Dr. Gudel. The positive results of past years, such as the successes of current squad players in the first men's team, demonstrate the importance of this work. “We have a good knack for talented people and do everything we can to offer them the best opportunities,” adds the CEO.

A network of supporters

In addition to the support of the municipal utilities, the people of Lübeck are pleased about the participation of other sponsors who are actively supporting the project surrounding the new bus. Names like BTR Sumus Marquardt, Schröder and Tensfeld, Clement Tief- und Straßenbau GmbH and many others stand by VfB Lübeck. This broad support shows how firmly the club is rooted in the Lübeck community.
