The anticipation in Lübeck is increasing! On November 1st and 2nd, 2025, JUNIPER will be transformed into a dazzling celebration of Japanese culture. The Japanese cultural festival promises a weekend full of fascinating impressions and joie de vivre from the Far East. The event includes a colorful program that offers both artistic and delicious highlights that will make visitors' hearts beat faster.
From traditional samurai martial arts to live concerts to authentic Japanese cuisine - everyone gets their money's worth here. Particularly exciting: At various tastings you can try out Japanese cuisine and learn at the same time. There is also a design market with around 30 exhibitors who present a wide range of products from the areas of design, fashion, literature, kawaii culture, jewelry and accessories.
Diverse workshops and activities
For anyone who would like to become active themselves, there are workshops for children and adults. From calligraphy to origami to culinary arts, there is something for everyone. The event opens its gates on both days from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free for children under 10 and for people accompanying severely disabled people. However, tickets should be booked online in advance, as there is no on-site box office.
The best way to travel to this special cultural weekend is by bus or car. Visitors should not miss the opportunity to experience the radiance of Japanese culture in the middle of Lübeck.
