Fast-paced chaos ride in Lübeck: Police stop daring speeder!

On the night of Monday, November 18, 2025, a 28-year-old driver from Schwerin caused a stir on the roads between Woltersdorf and Lübeck. At 12:40 a.m., the man was noticed in his VW because of his extremely reckless driving style, which led to numerous dangerous situations. According to hl-live.de, the chaos ride began on the B207 and continued over the A20 to Baltische Allee in Lübeck-Genin.

An attentive informant observed the risky journey and reported that it was traveling very quickly in the direction of Breitenfelde. The driver repeatedly cut other road users, which almost led to a serious collision. The VW attracted particular attention when it ran a red light on the B207, which further underlined the dangerous nature of its driving style.

Dangerous overtaking maneuvers and police intervention

The dangerous car journey lasted around 35 kilometers and included a series of illegal overtaking maneuvers that the driver carried out at significantly excessive speeds. He put himself and other road users at considerable risk, as the Lübeck police officers report. After leaving the motorway at the Lübeck-Genin junction, the police stopped the speeding Schweriner in Baltische Allee.

The consequences for the driver quickly became clear: after consultation with the Lübeck public prosecutor's office, his driver's license was confiscated on site. He was also prohibited from driving vehicles requiring a license and his driving license was revoked. He will now have to face criminal charges, according to a police statement.

Call for witnesses to come forward

The Mölln police station is looking for witnesses to the chaotic driving, especially injured or endangered road users who may have been on the same roads on Monday night. Anyone who has observed something is asked to call 04542/8099-0 or email Moelln.Pst@polizei.landsh.de. Any tip could help prevent similar incidents in the future.

This dangerous journey, which was characterized by reckless driving, once again shows how important it is to be safe and proactive. At a time when road safety is a top priority, such behavior is not only irresponsible, but can also have serious consequences for everyone involved.
