Special exhibition on the martyr Hermann Lange: Special legacy in Lübeck!

On November 2, 2025, a very special special exhibition entitled “The Beginning and End of All Things” will begin in the treasury of the Lübeck Martyrs Memorial. The exhibition will officially open at 6 p.m. The location of the event is Parade 4, in the aisle of the Herz Jesu provost church.

The focus of the exhibition is a moving document: the original of Hermann Lange's farewell letter, which he wrote to his parents and his brother Paul on the day of his execution. After 80 years, this letter will be shown publicly again, and not only that - numerous other exhibits will also captivate visitors. Jochen Proske, the director of the memorial, emphasizes how important objects and objects are as memory aids. The exhibition is open until November 30, 2025 and entry is free, making it an excellent opportunity to learn more about this moving chapter of history.

It begins with an atmospheric lantern parade after Thanksgiving and ends with the ringing of bells in the clock tower on New Year's Day. The city's program is full of surprises, especially for the whole family.
