Tim Kips moves to 1. FC Phönix Lübeck – New chapter in Lübeck!

Tim Kips, a 24-year-old goalkeeper from Luxembourg, has taken a new step in his career. After four years he is leaving Erzgebirge Aue and moving to 1. FC Phoenix Lübeck. This move to the regional league team could represent a decisive turning point for him after he did not get the playing time he had hoped for in Aue.

During his time at Aue, Kips played a total of six competitive games, with his strongest appearances coming in the state cup. There he was able to keep a clean sheet in four games - a clear strength that he now wants to demonstrate in Lübeck. Last season he was also loaned out to Rot-Weiß Koblenz, which gave him the opportunity to gain match practice.

Kips will join 1. FC Phönix Lübeck on July 3, 2025 and has signed a contract until June 30, 2027. His new club, which plays in the Regionalliga Nord, will certainly offer him the chance to develop further and take on more responsibility. With a height of 1.88 m, Kips has the necessary physical requirements for the position in goal.
