Pure sunshine: weather highlight for northern Germany this weekend!

After a wet Friday that brought plenty of rain to northern Germany, residents of Bremen, Lower Saxony, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania can look forward to a sunny weekend. As the Borken newspaper reports, the German Weather Service (DWD) is predicting pleasant weather that will make you forget about any waterfront.

Saturday morning starts fresh in northwest Germany with temperatures around eight degrees and local fog in southern Lower Saxony. On the coast, however, it is already significantly warmer at around 15 degrees. During the day the temperatures climb up to 24 degrees and invite you to go on excursions and do activities in the fresh air.

Weather forecast for the region

The good weather is here to stay this weekend: a similar picture is expected on Sunday. Temperatures are pleasantly cool early in the morning, but rise to 25 degrees during the day. The DWD adds that heavy rain may fall in the northeast on Friday, but the sun will also be at its best there over the weekend. On Saturday there could be a few showers in the south of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, but these will not prevent the sun from staying there for a long time.

In addition, the DWD warns that in the early hours of Saturday there could be thick fields of fog in the south and west, reducing visibility to less than 150 meters. However, these fogs will dissipate by mid-morning at the latest, so that the weekend can be enjoyed to the fullest.

Outlook for the coming week

However, a change in the weather is planned for Monday. The DWD warns of changeable weather, with heavy rain in some areas and possible strong thunderstorms. However, this could be less dramatic in the eastern half, where clear and dry periods can often be expected. Maximum temperatures reach between 23 and 27 degrees.

So remember to make the most of the sunshine this weekend and keep the good weather at bay! It will be a perfect weekend for outdoor activities before the weather changes again over the next few days. A good opportunity for a walk or a picnic in the park!
