Tchibo causes a stir: luxury bracelet for 1,415 euros disappoints!

A golden joke for Christmas: Tchibo is causing confusion with its latest piece of jewelry, a luxurious bracelet that has a retail price of 1,415 euros. As part of Black Week there is a discount that reduces the bracelet to 1,399 euros, but the price difference of just 16 euros is causing sharp criticism among shopping fans. Many consider the savings to be too small to be considered a real bargain, like this Moin.de reported.

Tchibo, known primarily for its coffee products, has also ventured into the jewelry sector and, in addition to bracelets, offers a variety of jewelry items. This also includes a gold bangle and a tennis bracelet, which have already been in the range in the past. The company brings gold, silver and rose gold designs as well as pearls and watches as part of a new collection of jewelry pieces available online from November 18, 2025.

Promotions and offers

As part of Black Week, which this year runs from November 19th to December 9th, Tchibo is offering a series of promotions designed to make shopping an experience. The Black Friday deals, which fall on November 28, 2025, promise special shopping fun with various pieces of jewelry.

The collection includes, for example, a silver necklace with a zirconia pendant from around 34.95 euros, gold-plated hoop earrings from 19.95 euros, and stainless steel bracelets with pearl details from 29.95 euros. In addition, classic rings made of sterling silver with the option of engraving are available from 49.95 euros - offers that appear much more attractive than the gold bracelet, the high price of which is currently being hotly debated.

A growing market

Looking at the overall jewelry market, analysis shows that the global jewelry market was already valued at $232.94 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow to $242.79 billion in 2025. This shows a clear trend in the consumption of luxury products, but does not alleviate the concerns of many consumers. The Fortune Business Insights also shows that rings are expected to hold the largest market share during the forecast period and increasing consumer preferences for personalization are being observed, especially in rings.

What is particularly noteworthy is that the pandemic stimulated online sales, while sales figures in stationary retail plummeted. Tchibo and similar companies therefore have to adapt in order to remain competitive in the digital age.

It remains to be seen whether the criticized prices of the Tchibo jewelry collection can create lasting customer loyalty or whether shoppers will lose interest. The fact is that while jewelry can appeal to many types of buyers, the right approach to pricing and offering will be crucial to surviving in the increasingly competitive market.
