Bremen has passed a new law that will bring about drastic change for all robotic lawnmower owners. With a general decree that came into force on October 18, 2025, the use of robotic lawnmowers is limited to daylight hours. Robotic lawn mowers pose a serious danger, especially at night, as they roll over everything in their path. The new regulation states that in the future, robotic lawnmowers may only be operated during the day from 30 minutes after sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset. Anyone who does not comply with this regulation will face a fine of up to 25,000 euros - even without any animal being harmed. This is to ensure that these vulnerable animals are not endangered.

Fortunately, this initiative not only promotes the protection of hedgehogs, but also increases awareness of nature conservation among the population.
