Bremerhaven is expecting a mega event: Sail 2025 with over 250 ships!

Bremerhaven is celebrating a special kind of spectacle from August 13th to 17th, 2025: Sail 2025, an international harbor festival that is returning after a ten-year break. A real feast for ship fans and pleasure lovers, where over 250 ships and more than a million visitors are expected to experience the maritime fascination up close. The opening will take place ceremoniously by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on August 13th, with a highlight being the impressive entry parade of the ships, which begins at 11 a.m.

What shouldn't be missing from an event like this? Of course, a variety of culinary offerings and a wide musical supporting program. At Willy-Brandt-Platz, visitors can expect a stage where various artists perform every day from 12 p.m. At the same time, there are 750 market stalls, 250 of which offer maritime souvenirs and specialties. And for the little guests, a buccaneering village with pirates, craftsmen and street artists will provide excitement.

Interactive digital map for the full experience

What is the best way for visitors to get to their destination? To ensure that no one loses their bearings, the city provides an interactive digital map that brings together all the important information. The locations of the historic tall ships, music stages and gastronomic offerings are shown on this map. But that's not all: practical information such as the location of toilets, parking spaces and shuttle stops are also marked. This means that visitors always have access to the information they need to immerse themselves in the maritime adventure in the most relaxed way possible. The map offers functions such as zooming and searching, which makes finding the best route to each destination child's play, as Nordsee-Zeitung reports.

Registration for various trips, including the opportunity to take part in the entry parade, is possible via the official website. Prices start at 89 euros for adults and 62 euros for children aged four and over. Of course, attention is also paid to the safety of visitors: a comprehensive security concept is regularly checked due to the current situation to guarantee a safe experience.

Sail 2025 promises to be an exciting, unforgettable festival that not only celebrates the love of seafaring, but also strengthens community and togetherness in Bremerhaven. Those interested can find further information at Bremerhaven.de and on T-Online.
