Trial day in Bremerhaven: remedial education for young talents!
On Monday, November 24th, the vocational schools Sophie Scholl in Bremerhaven invite you to a trial day. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., young interested people have the opportunity to familiarize themselves intensively with curative education care. The event takes place in Haus Anne Frank at Wurster Straße 387 and gives young people who have a good knack for dealing with people with disabilities a first insight into this fulfilling profession.
What exactly can visitors expect on this day? Several stations are planned that provide practical experience in curative education care. This training will also be possible part-time from the 2026/27 school year, which makes the program even more attractive for many students. The offer is not only aimed at those interested in social professions, but also offers an opportunity to directly encounter the real challenges and joys of this important work.
A cooperation with strong partners
The vocational schools work closely with seven organizations that provide support for the disabled in order to offer future skilled workers well-founded training. Special education nurses support people with different types of disabilities - be they cognitive, physical or mental. This target group includes both children and adults and requires a high level of empathy and expertise.
Remedial education nursing is more than just a profession; it is a task that focuses on valuing people. The specialists work both in a team and independently in a wide variety of locations, such as residential facilities, workshops and schools. The focus is on supporting the clients' self-determination, while at the same time promoting close cooperation with relatives. The aim is to develop a holistic understanding of the needs and abilities of people with disabilities, which is crucial for the quality of support.
