Technical defect: Fair Lady early from the Helgoland season!

The travelers on the North Sea have to prepare for some changes, because the popular seaside ship Fair Lady of the shipping company Cassen Eils ended its Helgoland season prematurely. The reason for this is an unexpected technical defect that forces the ship into the shipyard. Whether the repairs will be lengthy or complicated is still in the stars. What the exact causes are unclear for the time being, but the shipping company is concerned about the scope of the necessary work, which could possibly be considerable, such as Langeoognews reported.

The Fair Lady took up its trips earlier than usual this year, with departures of places such as Langeoog and Bremerhaven. But now all trips have been painted from Bremerhaven, and the popular routes to Helgoland, Wilhelmshaven, Hooksiel and Norddeich cannot be served for the time being, as well as Nord24 reported. The ship, which has been renovated from the ground up and subject to maintenance work, now seems to master unexpected challenges.

The waiting time for repairs

While the Fair Lady has been in the shipyard since the end of May, the exact cause of the damage remains a mystery. Perhaps there could be a gear damage in the room that is speculated in internet portals. In this respect, the shipping company Cassen Eils decided not to confirm this assessment for the time being, which only increases the uncertainty. A look at the situation of the competition could be helpful for travelers: from Cuxhaven, the ships offer "MS Helgoland" and "Northern Light" daily trips, including up to three departures every day in summer. A good tip to still reach the coveted island of Helgoland.

The seaside ship Fair Lady has conquered a permanent place in the North Sea travel program over the years. But the fates of such ships are not always only positive. An incident from last season illuminates the dangerous sides of seafaring: a power failure on the "Funny Girl" ferry led to the ship drove unable to maneuver on the North Sea until it was finally saved by tugs. Fortunately, all passengers remained well, which the shipping company Cassen Eils is also remembered as a positive point, as the district newspaper reports.

an outlook on the next events

The shipping company Cassen Eils, however, looks optimistically into the future and invites travelers to look forward to coming up to upcoming events. On July 12th the “Day of the Sea Service” will take place, with a colorful island festival and traditional fireworks. Families also have the opportunity to travel to reduced prices and use child -friendly offers on Wednesdays. For current information and bookings, interested travelers can visit the website of the shipping company.
