On September 25, 2025, Lower Saxony will show its friendly side. A high pressure area over southern Norway will ensure mostly bright weather with lots of sunshine, especially in the northern part of the country. The German Weather Service informed that wind gusts of around 55 km/h can be expected on the East Frisian Islands in the morning. But strong gusts can also occur inland, especially in the middle and south of Lower Saxony.

The south of the country is not unaffected by the weather conditions. This is where the increasing risk of precipitation becomes noticeable. While the afternoon will have a friendly weather pattern, clouds will increase over the area in the evening and rain could fall from Solling to the Harz at times. At night it cools down to around 11 degrees on the coast and to 5 degrees at higher altitudes. Cloud coverage is expected to vary from heavily cloudy in the south to clear to cloudy in the north, reports said NDR.
Meteorologists expect a similar weather pattern for Friday. While the northern half remains mostly dry, people in the south can expect more cloud cover and occasional rain showers. The maximum temperatures range between 14 and 16 degrees, and the night temperatures gradually cool down.

The forecast for the weekend doesn't promise any boring days either. Saturday will bring partly beautiful, partly cloudy phases and promises highs between 16 and 18 degrees. Sunday sounds like an ideal day for excursions, as longer sunny spells are in prospect, with temperatures of up to 21 degrees inland. A moderate wind remains the rule, which is particularly noticeable in coastal areas.
After a vibrant end to the month, the people of Lower Saxony have every reason to enjoy the fresh air and the weather as autumn slowly but surely arrives.
