The first test match of the 2025 season brought an impressive 6-0 win for SV Werder Bremen against FC Verden 04. Under new coach Horst Steffen, who celebrated his debut, the Bremen team showed an extremely convincing performance and demonstrated both great enthusiasm and strong pressing. Bremen were already leading 3-0 in the first half. The goal scorers were Amos Pieper (6th minute), Leon Opitz (36th minute) and Hansen-Aaroen (44th minute).
