It was an impressive sight that made the hearts of many North Germans beat faster. This morning the sky seemed to glow with bright reds and oranges around sunrise - a true natural spectacle. But the joy about the colorful weather only lasted for a short time, because the meteorologists from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Hamburg are predicting a change in the weather in the coming days that will displace the bright colors of the sky. According to the MOPO it is the “last glimmer of hope” for the region.
A frontal system is moving in from the west that will bring light rain. Very cloudy skies are expected over the next few days, and there won't be a dry day in sight with drizzle. The temperatures in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein range between 5 and 8 degrees Celsius, while in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania hardly more than 3 to 5 degrees can be expected.

How the weather will develop over the course of the day can already be seen from the first signs. In the afternoon, meteorologists expect a lot of clouds and, in places, light rain or drizzle NDR reported. While there is hope for some sunshine in the east, the west remains affected by very cloudy weather.

At the same time, there is a risk of minor freezing rain in parts of the West, particularly on Wednesday night.
Outlook for the next few days
The weather conditions are expected to continue to be very cloudy next night. Temperatures will fluctuate between 1 and 5 degrees on Wednesday night. In the south and east of Germany, frost down to -4 degrees can occur at night. In addition, fog could form in some regions, which could impair visibility.
On Wednesday the weather will remain mixed and often cloudy. Occasionally some rain and drizzle are possible here too. The maximum values will be between 3 and 8 degrees depending on the region. In Osnabrück you can expect a maximum of 8 degrees, while in Pasewalk it is only around 3 degrees warm.
The future prospects for the region are not promising. Thursday will initially bring some rain, which will ease over the course of the day and perhaps even the sun will appear. Temperatures will continue to remain in the 3 to 8 degree range. The weather situation will also remain changeable on Friday and Saturday with lots of clouds and occasional rain, especially in Western Pomerania.
Overall, we can only hope that the weather will calm down again soon and that the sun will return to us. But until then, it's important to dress warmly and prepare for the wet days.
