Start of the DFB Cup round

A real excitement awaits the club's young talents: the draw for the first round of the DFB Junior Cup will take place today, July 10th. The youth team has a home game against the defending champions Werder Bremen. The first round will take place on August 16th and 17th - a challenge that the young kickers want to take on with ambition.

The annual summer festival will also be celebrated in the Millerntor Stadium on July 19th. The festival starts at 1 p.m. and is followed by a party in the fan rooms, featuring DJs from the fan scene. Unfortunately, there is also moving news to report: Dieter Rittmeyer, who headed the men's soccer department from 1994 to 2016, died on December 20, 2024 at the age of 87. In recognition of his contribution, squares in the field arena were renamed “Siggi-Platz” and “Dieter-Platz”. His achievements are always recognized at the club and the men's football department's Christmas party celebrated his memories with individual poems and a quiz.
