Sylt shows passion for football: week full of exciting games!
The last weekend was turbulent and exciting for the football teams on Sylt and the mainland. The local teams were able to show some impressive performances that captivated the fans. Team Sylt and SC Norddörfer in particular did remarkably well again. Sylt1 reports on the highlights of the games.
On Friday, September 12th, the C juniors took part in the district cup and defeated TSV St. Peter-Ording with a clear 5:2. A real bang that demonstrated the good form of the Sylt girls.
District cup results and highlights
On Saturday, September 13th, the Sylt team enjoyed further success: the A-Juniors triumphed against MTV Leck 7-0. The Sylt team also achieved a great result in the men's district class and won convincingly with 10:1 against CFSG Schleidörfer/06. However, things were less pleasing for the E-Juniors, who suffered a 1:10 defeat against SV Frisia 03 Risum-Lindholm.
More exciting duels followed on Sunday. SC Norddörfer showed strong and defeated SZ Arlewatt 8:1. In contrast, Team Sylt II had less luck in the game against SG LGV Obere Arlau II and suffered a heavy 0:18 defeat. It will be exciting to see how the teams will perform in the next games!
Preview of next weekend
The fans can already look forward to the upcoming games! Team Sylt will play against ASV Frisia 03 Risum-Lindholm on Thursday, September 18th at 5:00 p.m. On Friday the men's section will face TSV DE Viöl II at 7:30 p.m. There are also numerous games scheduled for Saturday, September 20th:
- D-Junioren II: Team Sylt II vs. SG Süderl./Kfixbüll II (11:00 Uhr)
- D-Junioren: ATSV Rot Weiß Niebüll vs. Team Sylt (11:30 Uhr)
- C-Juniorinnen: Team Sylt vs. SG W 08 W II (11:30 Uhr)
- A-Junioren: Team Sylt vs. TSV Rot-Weiß Niebüll II (13:00 Uhr)
- Frauen: Team Sylt vs. SG Langenhorn/Enge-Sande II (14:00 Uhr)
- B-Junioren: Team Sylt vs. SG Nordau (16:00 Uhr)
SC Norddörfer also has exciting matches in store. On Friday, September 19th, the E-Juniors will compete against ATSV Süderlügum. Another highlight follows on Saturday when SC Norddörfer plays in the district league against SG Norderhamme at 3:30 p.m.
A look at the youth leagues
The A-Juniors in particular stood out in the competition and showed great potential. According to information from Kicker the youth teams are well on their way to promoting the talents of tomorrow. It remains to be seen how the juniors will perform in the coming tournaments and whether they can establish themselves higher up in the tables.
The next few weeks promise a lot of excitement and football action on the island and the surrounding area. So it remains exciting to see how the teams from Sylt and the northern villages will develop. Be there and follow the games!
