Anklamer dance couple shines: Silver and bronze in Norderstedt conquers!
Anklam, Deutschland - The dance sport blooms and ensures a fresh wind in Anklam: in Norderstedt Josepha Haack and Tobias Krüger, an emerging dance couple from the German dance scene, set a clear sign. Last weekend, the two competed in the children's and youth tournament of TSC Astoria Hamburg and got two podium places. They collected important points for their ascent in the performance classes. In youth class D of standard dances, which includes the slow waltz, tango and Quickstep, they were able to secure the silver rank, only beaten by another couple, like the Nordkurier reported.
But that wasn't all! In the category of Latin American dances, including Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba and Jive, the two also took an excellent third place. With your performance, you continue to catapult yourself and show that you have what it takes to assert yourself in higher classes. The coaching team around Anja Schumann, Anne Mengel and Marcel Schumann did an excellent preparatory work.
dance sport and performance classes
How does the ascent in dance sport actually work? The DVG (German Association for Guard and Show Dance Sports) dances dances into various performance classes based on a point ranking. Procedere is nothing new here: the judges can award a maximum of 100 points per dance, and the total number of points results from the sum of several dances. However, two ratings below the point limits of a class mean an impending descent, while two good placements in one season give the chance to climb up. So the sporting ambition always remains high!
For children from 5 to 15 years, such as Josepha and Tobias, a special regulation applies. You must have between 210 and 249 points in the youth class to get to the 2nd Bundesliga. With the last results, Josepha Haack and Tobias Krüger are on a promising path.
The next generation of dancers
an insight into the world of dance sport also give other young talents. For example, nine -year -old Elisabeth Wilhelm and Sebastian Bier from Böblingen/Sindelfingen. The two are trained by well-known dance professionals, Victoria Kleinfelder-Cibis and Andrzej Cibis, who were known by “Let’s Dance”. The passion and commitment of the young dancers are remarkable: they train four to five times a week and have already celebrated numerous successes, including first place at the "Royal Dance Cup" and fourth place at the German Open Championships in Stuttgart, one of the largest dance tournaments in the world.
Overall, these young talents not only show how complex the dance sport is, but also the potential that is slumbering in the next generation of dancers. The success of Josepha and Tobias in Norderstedt are another example of the fact that dance sport in Germany is flourishing and also has a promising future in Anklam.
