Discover the magical Midsummer Remise in Western Pomerania!

When June comes, it's that time again: the Midsummer Remise is looming! On June 21st and 22nd, 2025, the Peene and Tollensetal region will be dominated by this popular event. On the two days, the doors of 73 manor houses and a castle will open to delight visitors with a varied program. There are also numerous new faces – around twelve manor houses who are taking part for the first time. According to auf-nach-mv.de, bus tours are offered from Rostock, Greifswald, Schwerin, Wismar and Neubrandenburg, which comfortably take participants to the various event locations.

You can look forward to a wide range of offerings in the region: from carriage rides in Gamehl Castle to culinary highlights in Gorow Castle Estate - there is something for every taste. Panoramic views, guided tours and exhibitions promise an exciting weekend for young and old. You could say that a visit to the manor houses is a feast for the senses!

Castles and manor houses in detail

A look at some special places that are opening this weekend: Broock Castle invites you with guided tours on cultural history and exhibitions on garden culture. The NNN reports on a wide range of offerings at Broock Castle, where the village shop, the café and the beer garden treat guests to lunch as well as coffee and cake. Hohen Brünzow Castle offers a bluesy musical setting, while visitors can relax on the dendrology tour in the estate park.

The new permanent exhibition “The Castle in the Moon” opens in Neetzow Castle on Sunday – a highlight that should not be missed. At the Mellenthin moated castle, visitors can not only view the impressive architecture, but also discover the brewery, coffee roastery and distillery located there.

Art and culture for the whole family

The Midsummer Remise also has a lot to offer for the younger ones. The craft market, children's programs and tours in the cottages at the Schwanenteich in Lassan Vorwerk give the event a framework that appeals to the whole family. A photo exhibition will be presented in the Rossin manor house on Sunday, inviting you to capture the beautiful surroundings photographically.

The Midsummer Remise is not only a celebration of the manor houses, but also a unique experience where tradition meets creative art and delicious gastronomy. Certainly, this is an excellent opportunity to experience first hand the historical splendor and cultural treasures that the region has to offer. Whether as a family outing or a romantic trip - it's the mix that counts and interest in history ushers in the summer season again this year.
