Exclusive holiday home park at Zarrenthiner Kiessee: What’s ahead?

A lot is happening at the Zarrenthiner Kiessee in Jarmen: the exclusive holiday home park “Sandholm – My House by the Lake” is taking shape. This ambitious project, being built in a former opencast mine, could soon become one of the hottest attractions in northern Germany. With the idyllic swimming lake, its own jetty and excellent transport connections, this location is within reach for many. The development of the site, which was used for sand extraction for decades, included extensive renaturation that has been initiated since the fall of the Wall. The first construction work began in 2021 and anticipation for completion is increasing.

The location makes the project particularly attractive: ten plots have already been sold and two more are reserved. The holiday homes are constructed using ecological timber construction, with six different building types being offered. The first model home, which can accommodate up to eight people, will soon be completed. The development of the infrastructure with its own roads is in full swing and marketing of the holiday park is scheduled to start in summer 2023. Property prices are expected to be in the three-digit euro range per square meter, and the total investment was initially estimated at around 25 million euros.

Idyllic bathing spots in Western Pomerania

In addition to the development of the holiday park, the region around the Zarrenthiner Kiessee also attracts with its hidden bathing spots, which always enchant both locals and visitors. It’s worth taking a look at four “insider tips” of the bathing spots in Western Pomerania:

So wherever you look, Western Pomerania has a lot to offer! Whether for relaxation close to nature, exciting leisure activities or just a relaxing day by the water. The mix of relatively unknown bathing areas and the newly built holiday park on the Zarrenthiner Kiessee shows that there is a lot of potential here.

In any case, the overall development of the region remains exciting. The “Sandholm” project seems to not only be a place to stay, but could also create new impulses for tourism in the area. Stay tuned because this is just the beginning!
