Savator of tomorrow: Anklam's youth shows their skills at the DRK competition

Anklam, Deutschland - On June 15, 2025 there was an exciting event for the youngsters of the rescue system in Anklam! The DRK junior competition not only brought ten teams from the DRK youth and water watch on its feet, but also the children's team of the Anklamer fire brigade, which formed itself under the loving name "Peenemäuse". Enthusiasm and team spirit were at the top of the agenda of the 74 participating children and adolescents who were supported by 30 helpers. The event was organized by the supervisor Sandra Stoll and was a complete success!

The participants had the task of proving themselves as a real savior. Her tasks included creating surgical coats, gloves and safety glasses as well as the transport of a "patient" on a stretcher. Especially for the youngest participants, it was a challenge to create the protective clothing cleanly and correctly. With so much action but no wonder! During the event there was also a delicious lunch on the marketplace, which was provided by the supply force. Here you could not only recharge your batteries, but also to make new friendships.

The courses cover everything, from the behavior after a traffic accident to heart-lung resuscitation, and are a first-class way of learning important skills and acting properly in an emergency. First aid training is also important for voluntary fire departments because they have to meet specific requirements. These include additional teaching units on fire -fighting risks and equipment.
