A new wind is blowing over the “island paradise” in Baabe! After months of closure, the popular restaurant is about to reopen. The new operators from Göhren are bringing fresh impetus to the game and are opening the “Mynt” restaurant in July. This is not only known for its tasty, creative dishes, but is also intended to be a place for exciting events. The striking hypar shell building, which has been a listed building since 1997, is a real flagship of the region, built in 1966 according to the plans of Ulrich Müther. It offers a fantastic view of the Baltic Sea and good memories from many locals and holidaymakers.

But there is not only culinary news on Rügen. The youth ordination of 88 young adults from Bergen and the surrounding area recently took place in Putbus. In the summer heat, the young people celebrated their entry into adulthood at the Putbus Theater. This celebratory tradition is very important to the young people on Rügen.
