Störtebeker Festival 2025: Action -rich premiere inspires 8000 spectators!

Ralswiek, Deutschland - The Störtebek Festival celebrated their premiere on June 28, 2025 on the open -air stage in Ralswiek on Rügen. Around 8,000 spectators were on site to experience the new piece "Trainer of the Sea", which is all about Klaus Störtebeker's heroic saga. Directors Louis Villinger and Cordula Jung took the dramatic story onto the stage and provided plenty of action and emotions.

What can the audience expect? High dynamics through a fast -paced happenings, starting with a thrilling pub fight and a spectacular bombing of the stage, followed by a dramatic fall from a church tower. Pyrotechnic effects, under the direction of pyro expert Fred "Feuerstein" Braütigam, provided visual highlights that delighted the audience. In the first 15 minutes of the performance, the whole spectacle was completed with fireworks above the large Jasmunder Bodden.

Over 160 actors and small actors fill various roles, including Moritz Stephan in the leading role of Klaus Störtebeker. Next to him, Alexander Hanfland also shines as Goedeke and Norbert Braun as Störtebeker's father. The ensemble is reinforced by Wolfgang Lippert, who takes on the role of the bard singer Lippi, and Eva Gerngroß as Störtebeker's sister Klara and Alonja Weigert as a toolmaker Alenia. Janis Günther, Volker Wackermann, Sebastian Vetter and many other performers who breathe into the piece of fresh life are also new to the ensemble.

A very special focus is on the female roles - strong, self -confident protagonists who actively intervene in the plot. This shows that the festival not only tells the adventures of the privateers, but also present exciting female characters.

The costume department made around 15,000 costumes to authentically present the time of the privateers.
