Nordsterne Stralsund lost to Güstrow 41:49 at the end of the season!

On Saturday evening, the final curtain fell on the 2025 Speedway Bundesliga season for MC Nordstern Stralsund, who lost 41:49 to MC Güstrow Torros in front of their home crowd in the Paul Greifzu Stadium. In front of around 750 spectators, the Stralsund team once again lost out and therefore remained winless throughout the season. This false start was certainly not the result we had hoped for, given the high expectations placed on the team.

Daniil Kolodinski stood out on the evening, scoring an outstanding 16 points, while Norick Blödorn, who recently won the title of German Champion, contributed 14 points. Lars Skupien, Jesse Mustonen and Patrick Hansen were able to contribute further points to the final score, but could not get the team beyond defeat. Güstrow thus developed into an opponent who urgently needed this victory to pave the way to the championship final, which will take place on October 2nd in the Güstrow Stadium.

The table at a glance

In the final standings of the Bundesliga the situation is as follows:

Place team Match points Running points
1. Guestrow 6 156
2. Wittstock 4 142
3. Stralsund 0 152

The history of the Stralsund Speedway goes back to 1958, when the club was founded and the first races took place in the Paul Greifzu Stadium. Since then, MC Nordstern has made a name for itself not only in the region but also beyond the country's borders, with several championship titles and a place in the final of the 2012 Bundesliga.

However, the 2025 season was a worm, and after numerous occasional defeats, the team fell back in the table. Even if hope for next season is not lost, the course must now be set again in order to possibly celebrate success again next year.

According to the current Speedway-Bundesliga schedule, the motto of the final is: Who will be the next champion? For Güstrow it is important to maintain the form and win the title, while Stralsund wants to learn the lessons from this year and start the next season stronger.

It remains to be hoped for all speedway fans that the Stralsund team will receive the necessary support from their loyal fans to become the fighting team they once were and can continue to be.

The club invites everyone interested to find out about current developments and future planned events, such as further participation in Speedway-Bundesliga and various championships. Please also visit the MC Nordstern website to find out more about the exciting history and current news.
