US Cars Weekend in Ludwigslust: Visitors experience hot tires and cool vehicles!
Last weekend the eagerly awaited event took place at the Motodrom LudwigslustUS Cars Weekend 2025took place, which attracted car enthusiasts from all over the region. In bright sunshine and in high spirits, participants and spectators gathered to experience the fascination of American classics up close. Organizers are now considering holding the event again next year and would be happy to have even more spectators.
Vehicles and participants
The vehicles on display were a real feast for the eyes. Among the American classics stood outFord Thunderbird convertible,CaddyandOldsmobilein the eye, but also theChevroletandBuickhad their fans. Carsten from Bern exhibited his Ford Mustang, inspired by the animated series “Cars” and named it after Lightning McQueen’s number 95. Murat from Pinneberg impressed with original decorations that he created from foam and pool noodles and were inspired by theMad Max-films inspired.
Another eye-catcher was René from Greifswald, who was hisFord Thunderbird Convertible (1960)and oneBuick (1952)and places great value on working with his mechanic. Berlin participant “Schormi” was also present and celebrated his restored Dodge Model L, which he had converted into a hot rod. Holger Steinmann, well-known in the US car scene, was on site as a presenter and showed his 1,000 hp hot rod while explaining to the audience the meaning ofWheelie barsfor dragster racing.
