The guest is none other than Peter Vollmann, the former coach of FC Hansa Rostock. A trainer with history
Peter Vollmann, born on December 22, 1957 in Linge, has had an impressive career as a player, coach and official. He took over FC Hansa Rostock in a crisis situation in 2010 and led them to promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga a year later as second in the 3rd league. But after this successful time, the club from Rostock was no longer the same for him, and in December 2011 Vollmann was dismissed as coach.
His involvement with Hansa was not the only stop in his career. From 1993 to 2019 he was a coach at several clubs, including Preußen Münster and Holstein Kiel, and most recently worked as sports director at Eintracht Braunschweig. He held this position until November 2023 before finally ending his career.
A look back and forward
Vollmann's journey through football was marked by ups and downs. In 2015 he took over the reins at VfR Aalen and made football history there too. His experiences as a defensive player - including at Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid and TuS Lindlar - continue to shape his coaching approaches and philosophies to this day.
