The 1. FC Neubrandenburg football tournament last weekend offered an exciting event for the region's young talents. Despite a bumpy start, which was caused by rain and the unplayable grass field on Rostocker Straße, the outcome was positive in the end. The quick move to the artificial turf pitch on Weidenweg was well organized by Gregor Selow, President of the FCN, with active support from the city, as nordkurier.de reports.
Danielo Gesch, the E-Youth coach, was extremely positive about the entire tournament, which was characterized by a high level of play and exciting encounters. The E-Juniors of the FC Förderkader René Schneider from Rostock were particularly happy about their tournament victory. In the final duel they defeated Greifswalder FC 1-0 and thus secured first place.
Placements and game history
There were some exciting games over the course of the tournament: FCN, who competed in the blue jersey, secured third place after beating TSV Rudow 1-0. The FCN second team, which wore yellow jerseys, took fifth place with a 1-0 win against BFC Dynamo. The rankings at a glance:

A sporty afternoon for the children
The tournament also had the goal of offering all children playing time and making the competitive nature positive. This is of great importance, as the development and enjoyment of football in childhood should always be a priority, as the DFB emphasizes. The e-youth, which plays five-on-five, was exactly the right age here. The format of the tournament promotes a balanced level of performance, so that the young kickers played with a lot of enthusiasm and motivation.
An all-round successful event that made waves both in terms of play and organization. The anticipation of the next facilities and tournaments can only be exciting!
